So how can you help you get the most from our quality foam product.

All to often, a person will purchase a piece of foam, a mattress or furniture, on feel and price alone, not quality.

But how do we know good quality foam from poor quality.

The answer is not by the feel or the softness, but by the density or weight of the foam.

The hardness of foam is artificial. The hardness of a foam product is personal taste, whereas the density is the real measure of quality.

Foam Density & Firmness

Density is the weight of the foam and is measured in kgs per cubic metre. The higher the density the more solid and supportive material you are buying.

A piece of foam, 1 metre x  1 metre x 1 metre with the density of 15 kgs per cubic metre will only weigh 15kgs. Only half the weight as a similar block of foam with the density of 30 kgs per cubic metre.

Quite often when we buy meat, vegetables, seafood etc we pay by weight, the higher the weight the higher the price you will ask to pay. It is the same with flexible polyurethane foam. A cubic metre of foam that weighs 36 kgs is going to cost more than a similar piece which only weighs 15kgs.
